Winemaker's Dinner
Our winemaker's dinners will be held on Thursday, May 29th and Friday, May 31st at private homes, or at a fine restaurant with one of our Honorary Vintners. Our Honorary Vintners for this year include the celebrated Château Beychevelle from Bordeaux France! Our California Vintners are Celani Family Vineyards, Egelhoff Wines, and Rombauer Vineyards. We welcome Chateau Grand Traverse as our Michigan vintner. If you have purchased a Patron Level (Imperial, Jeroboam or Double Magnum) or have purchased individual Winemaker's dinner tickets which include seating at a Winemaker's Dinner, to be held at a private home or at our featured restaurant the listing below is a description of the Dinner choices. Thursday, May 29, 2008 We invite you to a private home overlooking Lake St. Clair reminisient of a French chateau. What better place to host our exclusive dinner with Philippe Blanc representing the famous French Bordeaux vineyard Château Beychevelle. This dinner will be well worth waiting for! Friday, May 30, 2008 Egelhoff Wines - Attend this dinner in a handcrafted wine cellar. Prepared by Executive Chef s Shanny and Bill Apodoca of Simply Good and held in a home in Clinton Township. Rombauer Vineyards- This dinner will be designed by the Matt Prentice Restaurant Group Corporate Executive Chef Eric Ward and held in a private home in the Bellagio Estates gated community in Northville. This home is reminiscent of an Italian Villa with all the amenities. Chateau Grand Traverse Winery -This dinner is being held in a gracious home adorned with a lovely lakefront garden on Gilbert Lake in Bloomfield Hills. Chef Paul Groz of Cuisine Restaurant will be your personal chef for this evening. Celani Family Vineyards - Bacco Ristorante is this year's featured restaurant for the A Night for Sight Event. The restaurant was HOUR DETROIT's 2005 Restaurant of the Year and is located in Southfield. The menu will be prepared by Chef Luciano DelSignore. Reservations for the Winemaker's Dinners are extremely limited and are on a first come basis. Ticket prices for Thursday's dinner is $1500, the Friday night ticket prices are $500 and can be purchased on an individual basis.
